The Vortoyz Story
MADE IN INDIA. MADE FOR INDIA.
HONORING THE BRAVE THROUGH ART
The Legend
Behind the Uniform
Every regiment in India's armed forces carries a soul that lives beyond its soldiers. It lives in a battle cry. In a regimental colour. In an animal — fierce, chosen, revered — that embodies everything the regiment stands for.
The thundering rhino of the Assam Regiment. The desert scorpion of 10 Para SF. The War Elephant Gajraj of the Madras Regiment — India's oldest infantry regiment. The black cat that haunts the NSG's shadows. The divine Garuda of the IAF's elite commandos. The Frogman of MARCOS rising from dark water. The sacred Mithun of the Naga Regiment. The Ibex of the Ladakh Scouts navigating passes no ordinary soldier survives.
These are not mascots chosen arbitrarily. They are identities — distilled across decades of battle, sacrifice, and brotherhood — into a single symbol that every soldier in that regiment would die defending.
"What if you could hold a regiment's soul in your hands?"
Our creative team spent months in deep research before a single model was made. We studied regimental histories, battle honours, uniform records, and the folklore that lives inside every mess. We spoke to veterans. We read citations. The result is not a toy. It is an avatar — a physical embodiment of what each regiment represents in India's security architecture.
From Concept to Collector's Shelf
Research & Character Design
Before a single line is drawn, we research. Uniform specifics. Regimental lore. Weapon loadouts. The exact shade of a beret. The insignia placement on a chest. We work from primary sources — not guesswork. A VORTOYZ character that gets a detail wrong is not a tribute. It is an insult — and we have never made one.
Precision 3D Sculpting
Our sculptors work at sub-millimetre precision. Every fold of fabric, every buckle on webbing, every expression on the face is built in three dimensions. What you hold at 12cm started as a digital model with hundreds of thousands of individual surface points. The collar badge alone is a day's work.
Precision Print & Cure
Each piece is printed at the highest achievable resolution, UV-cured, hand-cleaned, and structurally inspected at every stage. Nothing moves forward with a flaw. Nothing is rushed past quality control.
Hand-Painted Finish
No VORTOYZ piece has ever been factory-painted. A human hand applies every layer — base coat, shadow wash, detail highlight, edge work, and final protective varnish. This stage takes the longest. It is where the character stops being an object and becomes a presence.
Certificate of Authenticity
Every VORTOYZ piece ships with a signed, numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Your piece is not a unit from a batch. It is a named, documented, limited work — irreplaceable by design.
The Gift That Carries, the Weight of Service.
A wristwatch fades. A plaque collects dust. But a hand-crafted warrior avatar of the regiment a man gave his life to — that sits on his desk for the rest of his life.
For a Commanding Officer's Final Parade
A Commanding Officer gives the regiment everything. His farewell gift should reflect that weight. A VORTOYZ warrior of his regiment — presented in a display box — follows him from the mess to his home to his study desk for the rest of his life. Long after the speeches are forgotten, it sits there and remembers.
For 15, 20, 25 Years of Continuous Service
Some men give a decade to a battalion. Some give their entire working lives. There is no civilian equivalent for this kind of commitment. A warrior avatar personalised to his role and unit is a tribute from his battalion that says: your years here were not ordinary.
Raising Day & Regimental Anniversaries
Every regiment has a Raising Day — a day that belongs entirely to that unit's history, pride, and brotherhood. VORTOYZ creates limited pieces timed to Raising Days: a permanent fixture for the mess that places the regiment's warrior identity at the centre of the table where it was always meant to sit.
For Veterans Gathering After Years Apart
Old soldiers meet again. They are older, slower, and their backs don't behave. But in a room together, they are the regiment again — and the fire doesn't go out. A VORTOYZ warrior presented at a veterans' reunion is a reactivation of identity: you are still this. You will always be this.
For a Newly Commissioned Officer or Promoted JCO
A young officer takes his first commission. A Havildar is promoted to Naib Subedar. These are moments of passage — from one version of a soldier to another. A VORTOYZ character of their regiment's warrior, given at this moment, is a reminder of what they've joined, what they now carry, and who they now represent.
For the People Who Also Served
A soldier's family does not get medals. They do not get parades. But they stand at the gate at 0500 hours, pack and unpack across cantonments, and count days on a calendar. A VORTOYZ warrior given to a soldier's family — especially on retirement — honours the service of everyone who wore that sacrifice quietly.
The Belief
India has 1.4 million soldiers in uniform at this moment. Each one belongs to a regiment with a history longer than most nations. Each one carries a warrior identity — an animal spirit, a battle cry, a mascot — chosen because it captured something true about who they are.
VORTOYZ exists because those identities deserve a physical form. Because Tagra Raho should be more than words on a wall. Because the Rhino Warrior, the Desert Scorpion, the Gajraj, the Black Cat, the Garuda, the Frogman, the Ibex, the Mithun, the Lion, the Greyhound, the Owl, and the Desert Sentinel — these characters deserve to be held, displayed, gifted, and remembered. We are a studio of craftsmen. But our raw material is not paint, not plastic, not any material at all.Our raw material is honour.
Reviews of Our Customers
Gifted this to my CO on his farewell. He didn't say a word for almost a minute. That said everything.
The detail on the Para SF figure is extraordinary. The DMS boots, the beret angle-whoever sculpted this has done their research.
Ordered a custom Gorkha Rifles piece for our Raising Day display. VORTOYZ delivered three weeks early and the quality exceeded every expectation.
